ASSESSMENT OF THE TOBACCO TOXICITY

The physician asks the following questions to his smoker patient in order to assess the degree of tobacco poisoning:

- How many cigarettes a day do you smoke?

- Nicotine rate of your cigarettes?

- Do you inhale smoke?

- When do you smoke most?

- At what moment after awakening do you smoke your first cigarette?

- Which cigarette appears most indispensable to you?

- Do you find it difficult not to smoke in the forbidden places?

- Do you smoke even though an illness obliges you to remain in bed?

This test is called the FAGERSTRÖM’s test and according to its result, the detoxification will be adapted.
