Definition
A premature beat (or extrasystole) is defined as a heart rhythm disorder, corresponding to a premature contraction of one of the heart cavities, either the auricle, or the ventricle. It is a relatively frequent demonstration in the population, which is often not well felt and pose to the physician the problem of its cause.
