THE TREATMENT

Either the interventricular communication is not important and the physician then chooses to watch over his patient, or it is evolved and surgery is then indispensable.

This operation consists in closing the communication between the two ventricles, with the help of an artificial membrane. The surgeon must then open his patient's thorax and put this artificial membrane in place.

This surgery is perfected and only comes with very few complications.

The physician must also be careful to prevent the occurrence of an infectious endocarditis while prescribing antibiotic medicines before making a medical (endoscopy...), surgical or dental gesture.
