EVOLUTION

The most frequent evolutionary and post-infarct mode of the viral pericarditis is the spontaneous regression or regression under treatment after a few days or weeks.

A slow evolution justifies the research of a cause by surgical biopsy of the pericardium.

In 15 to 25% of the cases of viral pericarditises, one sometimes observes relapses, sometimes over many years.
