INDICATIONS

The cardiologist decides to achieve a coronarography when his patient presents:

- A pain in the chest, evocative of an angina pectoris;

- An electrocardiogram of rest or exercise which is not normal;

- A myocardial infarction;

Sometimes, the coronarography is achieved before a surgical intervention especially when the patient presents cardiovascular factors of risk.

The coronarography, literally meaning the “x-ray of the coronary arteries”, is an exam requiring to puncture an artery of a member in order to introduce a hose through which a product impervious to X-rays will be injected, directly into the coronary arteries. More
