The surgery of the tricuspid valve

The surgery of the tricuspid valve is achieved according to the same methods as the other valvular surgery techniques, except that the heart is not often stopped (no cardioplegia).

Very often, the surgeon repairs the tricuspid valve (valvular plastic surgery) and avoids the implantation of a valvular prosthesis as often as possible.

If nevertheless a prosthesis must be implanted, it is especially a mechanical prosthesis.
