Before the entry into the operating theatre

The day before surgery, a shower must be taken with painting with an antiseptic product solution. To spend a good night, a hypnotic drug or an anxiolytic drug can be prescribed (benzodiazepine).

The morning of surgery, a stresskiller is also prescribed; thorax and leg are shaved in case of an aorto-coronary bypass surgery.
